Doctors demand Health Minister's intervention to expedite NEET PG 2025 counselling. NEET PG counselling schedule has been delayed, causing concern among postgraduate aspirants and resident doctors.
The Federation of Resident Doctors Association (FORDA) has written to the Union Health Minister, highlighting the delay in NEET PG 2025 counselling and its impact on medical education and healthcare delivery.
FORDA has demanded the release of the finalised seat matrix on the MCC website immediately and the commencement of Round I counselling registration according to the published timeline.
The association has also sought transparent updates on Supreme Court proceedings (scheduled for October 28) that impact the counselling schedule.
The NEET PG 2025 entrance exam was conducted in August, and the results were released on August 19, 2025. However, there is still no clarity regarding the counselling schedule.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which is in charge of conducting the AIQ counselling, informed the States that the regulatory authority, the National Medical Commission (NMC), asked the committee to put the process on hold.
The delay in NEET PG counselling has caused concern among postgraduate aspirants and resident doctors, with thousands of qualified doctors awaiting postgraduate training while the 2025-26 academic session faces jeopardy.
