Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025: Vacant PwD and in-service seats will first be converted to their respective parent categories; later, the reserved seats will be turned into UR seats. NRI seats remaining vacant will be converted to management quota (MQ) seats, and MQ seats will be turned to government quota seats if they remain vacant in the third round of counselling.
The Gujarat Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses (Regulation of Admission) Rules, 2018, detail the admission process in government and private medical colleges. It says: “After granting admission to all the candidates of reserved categories who are in merit list on reserved seats, remaining vacant seats of the reserved category shall be transferred to the unreserved category seats”
In the Gujarat Professional Post-Graduate Medical Educational Courses (Regulation of Admission) (Amendment) Rules, 2025, the department has clearly stated the seat conversion order for this year Gujarat NEET PG counselling 2025. “After granting admission to all candidates of reserved categories who are in the merit list on reserved seats, remaining vacant seats of the reserved categories shall be transferred to the unreserved category seats during 3rd round,” the new rule read.
The seat conversion order for Gujarat NEET PG 2025 admission means that students who are not eligible for reserved seats will have a chance to get admitted to unreserved seats. However, this will only happen during the third round of counselling. Students should keep an eye on the counselling schedule and be prepared to take admission if they are eligible.
