After months of delay, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has started NEET PG 2025 counselling registration at mcc.nic.in. Candidates can apply for admission to MD, MS, and Diploma programmes under the 50% All India Quota.
The registration is being conducted for admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Surgery (MS), and Diploma (DB) programmes offered by government and private medical colleges across India.
While the NEET PG counselling information bulletin 2025 has been released, the detailed counselling schedule is yet to be published by MCC.
The NEET PG 2025 admission process has witnessed several setbacks this year, marked by delays, postponements, and court proceedings.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had earlier cancelled results of 22 candidates due to unfair means, while 13 were disqualified for malpractice during the examination.
Following the Supreme Court’s intervention, the NEET PG 2025 examination was finally conducted in a single shift on August 3. Approximately 2.4 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, with Pooshan Mohapatra securing the top rank.
The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) recently confirmed updates regarding the counselling timeline after discussions with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
This came in the wake of the Supreme Court’s notice to NBEMS and the Centre, seeking clarifications on transparency in exam evaluation and publication of complete answer keys.
While the Board released the answer key for the first time in the exam’s history, many candidates expressed dissatisfaction over the limited display of question IDs instead of full questions.
Candidates are now advised to stay updated on the official website for the complete NEET PG 2025 counselling schedule and subsequent rounds of the admission process.
