The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued an advisory for candidates allotted NBEMS seats through the NEET PG 2025 All India Quota (AIQ) counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). The notice directs candidates to follow the MCC counselling schedule, scheme, and information bulletin available at mcc.nic.in.
Candidates have been instructed to ensure that their allotted hospital updates their reporting and joining status on the Intra-MCC portal within the prescribed timeline. NBEMS has clarified that if the hospital fails to update the joining status, the seat will be treated as vacant and carried forward to the next counselling round.
The advisory also outlines the process for payment of the first-year annual course fee. Candidates will have to pay the fee through the designated NBEMS payment portal within the joining window specified by MCC.
“Hospitals will verify the fee receipt before allowing the reporting/joining of the candidate. In case of non-submission of the fee, the allotted seat shall be treated as vacant and carried forward to the next round,” the official notice said.
After completing the fee payment, candidates will have to report to their allotted hospitals within the prescribed schedule with all original documents for verification and medical examination.
Only those declared fit by the hospital’s Medical Board will be permitted to join. NBEMS has stated that the start of training will be counted from the date the candidate joins the allotted or upgraded seat.
“Hospitals will verify the fee receipt before allowing the reporting/joining of the candidate. In case of non-submission of the fee, the allotted seat shall be treated as vacant and carried forward to the next round,” the official notice said.
