The Supreme Court is set to hear a petition regarding the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Postgraduate (NEET PG) today. The NEET PG 2025 SC hearing, which has been adjourned several times, is raising hopes for clarity on the examination process.
Students are eagerly waiting for updates on the timeline for seat allocation and admission procedures for PG medical courses. The hearing is expected to address critical issues regarding the release of the question paper instead of the question ID and provide more clarity and transparency in the examination, like other national-level entrance tests.
While the NEET PG 2025 exam results were already declared in August this year, the counselling dates have still not been announced. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and various state authorities have started the counselling registration process, but the registration last date, choice filling dates, seat allotment dates, and admission deadline is yet to be announced.
Once the schedule is released, students will be able to select their desired college and PG medical specialisation. With the delay in the counselling process, medical students have expressed their disappointment and are afraid that the delay will not only extend the academic period but also affect the healthcare sector.
