In a landmark decision, the Telangana government has announced that 85% of management quota seats in private medical colleges offering PG courses will now be reserved for local students.
The move, initiated by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy following a proposal by Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha, is expected to significantly benefit Telangana’s medical aspirants.
According to the updated bond policy, candidates who secure admission in PG medical or dental courses must submit a bond on a ₹100 stamped paper, agreeing to pay a penalty of ₹50 lakh if they discontinue the course after Round 2 counselling or later.
This strict measure aims to curb seat blocking and ensure fair allocation of seats to genuine candidates.
