The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (UPDGME), Uttar Pradesh, has issued a notice announcing the debarment of seven candidates who had resigned from their allotted MD/MS seats during the academic session 2024-25.
These candidates will not be eligible for admission in the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025-26 counselling process.
In its 2024 notice, the counselling authority had stated that “for medical/dental colleges of government/private sector, if the concerned candidates leave the seat after the final round of counselling before completing the course, then they will be debarred from the admission process of the next academic session”.
According to the list released by DGME, a total of 7 candidates have been debarred from the NEET PG 2025-26 admission process for leaving their allotted seats after joining. The candidates resigned from their seats before completing the course for MD/MS course under UP NEET PG-2024-25.
The candidates who have been debarred from the NEET PG 2025-26 admission process will not be eligible for admission in the UP National Eligibility and Entrance Test-Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025-26 counselling process.
The candidates who have been debarred can appeal against the decision of the counselling authority within the stipulated time frame.
